In North Philadelphia on the block of 26th St; a newborn baby was found in a box. An older man, Homer Keller, that’s sweeps often, spotted a tall box that was 1ft tall and 1 foot wide. He checked it out and heard noises thinking it was a cat, and then he heard crying. Luckily the baby was sent to the Doctors at St. Christopher Hospital. She has no signs of trauma and was in good condition. Doctors say she spent about 5 hours in the box from her body temperature. Fortunately it was good because the baby was found and she could of died from hypothermia or collected by trash men and crushed to death. This is devastating to hear. It was also good because she was in good condition. I think this is child neglection. Who ever put their baby out on the street to die needs to be put in jail. If it was for the man the baby could have been thrown away and crushed to death. People do awkward things now a days and this is a good example. ; Throwing newborn babies in the trash. Obviously the parent didn’t have no regard for the baby.
