In North Philadelphia on the block of 26th St; a newborn baby was found in a box. An older man, Homer Keller, that’s sweeps often, spotted a tall box that was 1ft tall and 1 foot wide. He checked it out and heard noises thinking it was a cat, and then he heard crying. Luckily the baby was sent to the Doctors at St. Christopher Hospital. She has no signs of trauma and was in good condition. Doctors say she spent about 5 hours in the box from her body temperature. Fortunately it was good because the baby was found and she could of died from hypothermia or collected by trash men and crushed to death. This is devastating to hear. It was also good because she was in good condition. I think this is child neglection. Who ever put their baby out on the street to die needs to be put in jail. If it was for the man the baby could have been thrown away and crushed to death. People do awkward things now a days and this is a good example. ; Throwing newborn babies in the trash. Obviously the parent didn’t have no regard for the baby.

Decision to Keep Age Restriction On Birth Control
Most Of the Obama administration feels that’s Plan B will be the right choice; age restrictions of morning after pills. He supported there decision. A resolution where teenagers should purchase with out a prescription. There decision is to have women 17 years or older able to purchase pill with out prescription and 16 and younger has to have one. I think that teenagers should be able to purchase birth control with out a prescription. It’s unsafe because they might go around and buy any kind of pills not knowing what it has in it. It is possible that could cause very bad affects like being allergic and unsanitary. The food and Drug administration stated Plan B is safe and effective for women of all ages. Many teenagers may not take the pills correctly and have health problems. The FDA said “It prevents release of an egg from the ovary and also stop fertilization.” People think it’s a form of abortion. This is a reason why it should not be sold to children with out a prescription, if you think of it as an 11 or 12 year old coming into a drug store asking to purchase birth control, because they’re too young.

Apple Juice can pose Health Risk from calories?
Apple juice is in watch for a health risk? The amount of arsenic in apple juice maybe bad to many children, who mostly drink it. Apple Juice has more sugar in it than soda does. It’s addicting to kids and can cause obesity. Since many kids are addicted to apple juice its unhealthy because its causing obesity to children which the percentage is already increasing in. According to the U.S. Consumption of apple juice the sweet taste of sugar causes addicted to children. More people prefer apple juice with a sweet taste than homemade apple juice. Homemade apple juice is nasty: it doesn’t have any taste to it taste like apples. I think its health risk affects me. I drink about three cups of apple juice everyday. My doctor told me it’s causing me to gain weight. Like researches discovered I believe it because I gained 9 pounds from last year. That’s why I believe it causes weight gain. Apple juice is an addiction to me; I can’t help but to drink it! I think many scientist and researchers starting focusing on the health risk of apple juice because on the TV show “The Doctors” he stated Moot’s apple juice and be poisonous and cause cancer, but scientist quickly testified that it was false information. It’s been talked about not a healthy choice, in the News. But some apple juices have high arsenic and some have low arsenic.

Small Matters:Still a Black mood after Black Friday
This Year, about 152 million people went shopping on Black Friday according to the National Retail Federation. With most of the sales reinforcing the cost for previous months. About 50% of Americans thought they were going to spend more money this year than last. I think Black Friday shopping is the best time to go shopping, than regular sales. Shoppers usually go shopping only on Black Friday. About 25% of retailers expect real sales to rise in the 4th quarter of this year. This would be good because more people would go shopping regularly than just on Black Friday. Many people get to stores early and wait in lines for it to open, but the nest day there are hardly any sales. Went I went shopping on black Friday this year and witnessed about 3 different people getting into altercations over shopping. Black Friday shopping can be really out of control because many people are aggressive to get in stores first or be in the long line before someone else. This year I arrived at the mall at 3am, I go every year. It is fun because you want to beat the crowd so you go very early. On Black Friday many people shop Tolerable because of the over boarding sales. Many merchandisers and shoppers expect sales to be even higher next year. Next year I want to get to The Mall even earlier so I can beat the crowds of people.

It's time for Occupy Philly to strike the tents
The city waited patiently about Occupy Philly movement. Now, they’re ready for them to move from outside of City Hall. The city says Occupy Philly may cause public health threats like unsanitary conditions and fire hazards. There was also a rape in a tent and two men were arrested for punching others at the site. These people camping out around Dilworth Plaza are making a disadvantage of giving it a makeover. This campout here can be dangerous like the rape that happened. I think its time for them to go because every time I go downtown they’re always there. Also, I can’t walk through the western way in and out of city hall because its gates and the people sleeping outside of it. There protesting doesn’t even make sense because they’re outside in the cold while the wealthy people there protesting against are warm in there houses. It’s a disturbance downtown. For example , every time they decide to walk and protest no cars or buses cant run down Market St and its stopping people from going to there destination. Also, when I was downtown and I was walking up from Dilworth Plaza is was creepy and filthy. It was a foul odor that scares people away. The Occupy Philly movement is really not getting anywhere or anything accomplished. Even though they’re holding this protest, is not going to change for wealthy people to pay more tax. That’s why they’re wasting there time on a change that’s not going to happen. They need to move so the plaza can be redone.
